After finishing Ontario College of Art and Design, Mike entered the construction industry as a stone mason. To expand into custom home building and high end renovations Apperley Construction was begun. He designed and built one of the first million dollar homes in the Bay of Quinte area and his list of projects includes two clean room facilities for Bio Medical research firms. Quality, versatility and continuity are the hallmarks that kept Apperley Construction successful for thirty years. He comes to you as the Beaver Home and Cottage Consultant with an unparalleled knowledge of building practices, contracting and managing projects.
Since the 1950's the location at 224 Front St in Trenton has supplied the ever growing needs of the community's builders, first as the Allore Lumber Co., then as Beaver Lumber and eventually becoming Home Hardware Building Centre. The commitment to excellence brought to the Trenton Beaver Lumber store by the new franchise owner in the early 1980's has turned into a generational legacy that has spanned the companies change from Beaver Lumber to Home Hardware Building Centre and the growth of the one local store to now include locations in Belleville and Campbellford. These store locations blanket the Trent and Moira River watersheds, the Bay of Quinte and Prince Edward County and make supplying materials for the Beaver Home and Cottage packages easy and convenient.
